Morteza Motahhari (1919 -1979)
- He was a thinker, writer and one of the greatest students of Allameh Tabatabai and Imam Khomeini.
- He is one of the influential people and one of the intellectual leaders of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
- He was the chairman of the Revolutionary Council until the day of his martyrdom.
- By updating and explaining the teachings of Islam and Shia, he played a very important role in combating deviant currents of thought.
- Morteza Motahhari was assassinated and martyred by members of the “Forqan” terrorist group on the evening of May 1, 1979.
