The Palestinian Authority continued its resistance until the declaration of independence in 1988, but after that, it began to move towards compromising with the Zionist enemy as a result of despair at the military victory over the Zionist entity, with the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993 and Camp David 2 in 2000. As a result of this, the burden of fighting Zionist enemy fell entirely on the responsibility of the Islamic resistance movements.
