As the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine was finalized, extremist Zionists in Irgun organization led by Menachem Begin and with a green light from David Ben Gurion staged a bomb attack on a hotel where their British masters stayed. They wanted them to leave Palestine's soil as soon as possible in order that the process to establish the "state of Israel" be accelerated.
