In January 2015, the French magazine Charlie Hebdo published insulting cartoons about the Prophet of Islam (PBUH). and after that the magazine's office in Paris was attacked, as 17 people were killed in these clashes, 12 of whom were employees of the French magazine - including the cartoonist.
Interestingly, Salman Rushdie, who was the first to insult Islam, endorsed the magazine’s work, saying, “Muslims should come to terms with the cartoons that insult their respectable personalities.”
