In 2008, the short documentary "Sedition" was produced by the leader of the "For Freedom" party in the Dutch Parliament, Geert Wilders. In this 17-minute film, in addition to presenting a caricature of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), images of terrorist attacks were combined with verses from the Qur’an to remind the audience that the Qur’an is a book that takes Muslims to violence. At the end of the film, Muslims are wanted to tear these verses from the Qur’an themselves and get rid of them.
After a lawsuit was filed against the director, he was acquitted by a Dutch court under the Freedom of Expression Act.
