Usually the parents choose the name of the child, but during the birth of Hazrat Zaynab (as), her parents left this task to the Holy Prophet, the noble ancestor of that lady.

The Prophet (pbuh) who was on a journey, after returning from the journey, as soon as he heard the news of birth, he rushed to the hous of imam ali (a.s), hugged and kissed the baby, then he chose name Zaynab for this girl. which means (the adornment of her father)
