Haganah in World War II:
During World War II, the Mandate authorities helped establish the "Palmach" (established in 1941), the Haganah strike force led by Yigal Allon. It was initially formed from three battalions.
During World War II, the Haganah sent a large number of its personnel to European countries that were under the occupation of Nazi forces to support the Jewish resistance movements and the displacement of Jews to Palestine.
