Haleh Saleh, a resident of Gaza and a passionate cultural activist,
dedicated herself to promoting literature and awareness through her
Instagram page. Her Instagram page, once blocked, had come back to
life, becoming a beacon of inspiration. Every week, Haleh volunteered
at the Gaza Hero Club, an entertainment and cultural center, reading
stories to children. She dreamed of one day opening a grand library in
Gaza, a place where children could escape into joyful stories, read
about peace, and imagine a world without cruelty. But it was not to be.
Israeli bombs, designed to shatter the delicate dreams of Palestinians,
ended her hopes. On October 25th, Haleh, along with her husband and
children, was martyred. Even in her final moments, her concern was for
the books: “The books are scattered everywhere; God help us.” Haleh is
gone, and many books remain buried under the rubble…
