What does Intezar truly mean?

Does it mean sitting idle and praying only or does it call for action and movement as well?

And what does the holy Prophet (S) and the infallible Imams – peace be upon them – have to say about awaiting the Faraj?

Moreover, how is awaiting the Faraj, a Faraj in itself?
